bullet Senate Bill 10-051:  Concerning the Governor's authority to restrict the distribution of firearms during a state of disaster emergency (GOOD) by Senator Renfoe and Representative Sonnenberg.  Eliminates the authority of the governor to suspend or limit the sale, dispensing, or transportation of firearms during a state of disaster emergency.  Read Text of Bill (Requires Acrobat Reader)

bullet Senate Bill 10-092:  Exempt Colorado Firearms from Federal Regulation (GOOD) by Senator Schultheis and Representative S. bullet House Bill 10-1094:  Concerning the use of deadly force against a person who makes an illegal entry into a place of business (GOOD) by Representative C. bullet House Bill 10-1391:  Concerning the elimination of the repeal of certain provisions requiring that the Colorado Bureau of Investigation deny the transfer of a firearm to a person if the bureau receives certain information about the person's criminal history in response to a search of a criminal history records database.  (BAD) by Representative Rice and Senator Boyd.  The bill eliminates the July 1, 2010, repeal of certain provisions of the instant check system.  Read Text of Bill (Requires Acrobat Reader)

bullet House Bill 10-1411:  Concerning the process for resolving a denial of a transfer of a firearm when the denial is based on a prospective transferee's criminal record, which criminal record includes a case for which there appears to be no final disposition.  (GOOD) by Representative Waller and Senator Tochtrop.  The bill requires CBI to only deny on arrest when there is a record of the person being placed on bond or issued a summons.  An appeal of the denial must be resolved by CBI or the transfer is approved.  Read Text of Bill (Requires Acrobat Reader)
